It's the apocalypse! Don't be the shmuck on the team who doesn't do anything to hold their weight. Not only is that selfish, lazy, and ultimately stupid but it's also the best way to get left behind. A group of survivors aren't going to drag along dead weight (you) for very long (unless they're the nicest survivors ever [and that's not very likely]). Remember, that in chaotic situations people's survival instincts go into hyper-drive and they're way more likely to do things that they would never do. Meaning the person who is normally the sweet, forgiving Christian is 100 times more likely to leave you tied to a tree because you're as useless as a corpse. Find a way to be useful. Use your skills. If you don't have any skills that would be useful in an apocalypse then offer to help others (and learn from them). Or, if worse comes to worse, you can be the team pack mule.
