I, personally, suck at directions. Even when the GPS is yelling directions at me I get lost [we find things better without it actually]. Google maps? Not my friend. So how in the world am I supposed to learn how to get around with a compass and map? Practice. What good is it to have a compass and a map in your emergency kit if you don't know how to use it? None. So learn now, cause it might be the thing to save your life someday.
